NEWS: New version of RIMiGate posted! Version 0.2 removes the need to use a linux system to build the disk. Of course, the world would be a better place if you used linux anyway, but that's besides the point. You can download the latest version in .tgz or .zip format by clicking the link on the left for the 0.2 release. Download the appropriate format in the directory that will appear. The key here is that now anyone can easily deploy a linux based APRS iGate! Your minimum requirements are a 486 or better with 12 or more megs of ram. Please be sure to read thru the README (for RiG-0.2) before embarking on this adventure. And drop me a line (kg4nrc@rimboy.com) if you have any questions. Two big changes in the default config is the "I" (India) between Lat / Long to indentify your station as an iGate and turning off MicE decoding (which you want to leave off, unless you absolutely know what it is you're doing, see aprsd.cnf for details). New version of RIMiGate on the way. It'll feature a 2.2.24 kernel and a msdos based file system. As a result RIMiGate will no longer require a linux system to setup, but it's still running linux.
