Listening to them sounds like someone poured Worcestershire sauce down my throat

My friend Ken's opinion on the Pixies. I like, he does not. He has pretty good tastes in music though.

Awhile back my friend Bruce gave me a PowerMac G4 450, it is right now my main workstation at home. OSX 10.4 is a bit better than the 10.2 install I have on my laptop. Still, I'm still annoyed at the terminal emulation on OSX (nevermind missing "tabbed terms, though there are options available) though I do find myself wanting to hit F9 on my Linux workplace desktop... that's the shortcut for spotlight, the feature that shrinks/arranges all windows so you can find the one you're looking for quickly. It's tradeoffs. The one tradeoff I've not been able to get around is finding the right keyboard. I'm borrowing a USB one that's a bit too mushy. I don't care for Apple's offerings, between the mush and design they don't do much for me. On top of that, Kensington has ruined their "Expert Mouse" trackball by putting a scroll "ring" around the ball. It feels cheap and is not out of the way like the scroll wheel on the last revision.

My solution to the trackball issue was to get a USB to PS/2 adapter and use my PS/2 trackball. Though it's the model before the USB/scroll wheel version, something in the translation of PS/2 to USB makes my Mac think I'm scrolling when I move my cursor around. Mainly in browser windows, but it's also caused me to select the wrong song multiple times in iTunes. I finally decided to break down and buy a Griffin Technologies iMate. It's an ADB to USB adapter. As a result I'll not only be able to use an ADB Kensington trackball I have, but, I'll also be able to use the very nice, durable, and certainly not mushy Apple Extended Keyboard II. Note, I tried to use one of my PS/2 keyboards but it was too disconcerting. When you've been around Apple's long enough that you still use the phrase "closed apple" and "open apple" for option and command respectively, there's something about not having any key representing anything remotely close that's disconcerting.

Got a bike to use to ride around town. There are times where it's too far to walk and too close to drive. Especially since the weather is finally getting out of the cold funk (for almost the last two weeks) it'll be nice.

Been swimming 3-4 times a week since I have doctor's orders not to run. Not running is driving me nuts. Hopefully when I see him in May he'll let me start pounding the pavement.

With the exception of Florida, I can't say that I have anything against the teams in the Final 4. Yeah, I could do without LSU but they're not as annoying as Florida.
