Brak left the gravy faucet on and now the commissary is filling with Gravy

Space Ghost, of course. Just can't get enough of the zany antics SGC2C offers up.

So, what's been going on? Too much and at the same time too little. For starters, Jen and I had to make a trip to Michigan last week for family business. I-69 in MI has to be the worst stretch of interstate, even after driving in NY. The trip put us right thru the middle of Indiana... reaffirming my belief that were something major to happen in the midwest no-one would take notice. It's cold barren land filled with cold barren fields. It might be the heartland but every fall the farmers rip up the land to bring in their fields, leaving a vast barren plain for the wind to whip across.

I actually got around to cleaning the garage this past weekend. Saturday (as was Sunday) was a beautiful day and thus I had a place to throw stuff out of the garage to make space to better organize my volumes of belongings. I'm preparing a scrap metal pile the likes of which Sanford and Son dream of. An exercise bike here, a computer case or two here, and you've got yourself enough metal to fab a Yugo.

I've been chewing thru the piles of new CD's that arrive at the Casa and let me say, it's going to be awhile before I need to order anything. That said, the latest BMG music guide is chock full of CD's that are a must have if I'm to be known as the RIMBoy. I'm still enjoying the fact that I've got my stereo in the best configuration I've had it in since probably leaving my home in Il... way back in 94.

Cheers to SIUC and their Saluki basketball team for doing a pretty amazing job of screwing up most people's bets. In a season when you beat Indiana and Bobby Knight's new team, you really can't complain. The powers that be in Women's basketball saw to it that we have to choose between Vandy and TN in their regional. WTF? I'm not sure why they were bracketed the same, but I really want an upset in Vandy beating TN (despite their seed). I like TN, but face it, it's time for another team to get to step up. And if there's one sport where Vandy should not be viewed as the step child of the SEC in, let it be womens basketball.

This update comes on the night of the Oscar's. Guess what? Did not watch them, don't care about them either. I watched some movie with Kurt Russell (actually two if you count the fleeting glimpes of Big Trouble in Little China) that starred Halle Berry and John Leguzamo (highly overrated BTW) about some plane or something. That was after watching the last hour of some Clancy book made into a movie starring Harrision Ford (sans the James Earl Jones) and also watching most of Independance Day (probably the first time shown on TV since 9/11). They showed a clip with the WTC, but I'm not sure if they edited out any other scenes, nor do I care.

Yes, beavers from Wisconsin work in mysterious ways-- especially the really religious ones.

Today's quote comes from the celebration of some people's lard and savior in his (or her as some people seem to believe) various forms, Jesus of the Week. No, lard is not a typo, that's how this dude on TV that pimp's TV's in STL pronounces it. I could not dredge up a truer story in the warsh.

So the remodeling of 1 RIMBoy.com way is coming along, about half done at this point. Of course, that would happen to be the easy half of the office. I've still got a wall o cd's that need to come down, computers to be moved, servers to be arranged, wood to be screwed, glued, painted and hopefully not moved. I finally brought the new stereo amp online with the Maggies. It's nice to finally have something that I can crank and not have it wuss out because the stupid fan does not do what it's designed to do for the life of it.

I got to witness Casey at work, had some good chats. He asked about the redesign of the site. Needless to say, I'm going to flesh out the design of the office before I go forth with the site. It will happen... patience will bring forth the most glorious of 1996 html that only rimboy.com knows how to offer.

It appears that Nutscrape is sucking up all the memory on Dr. Teeth, my workstation. Needless to say, I'm going to have to cut this one short.

GOD IS LOVE. LOVE IS BLIND. Ray Charles is Blind. therefore, Ray Charles is God.

I'm still alive. I had a pretty good weekend fwiw. The dog and I had bonding experience, and Frasier bonded with his crate since he could not figure out how to behave. Apparently the rules for downstairs are not the same as upstairs since he's taken a dump 2x on the carpet down there. All the more reason to rip it out once the walls are painted and the bookshelves built.

I think I've got half the room painted at this point. The bottom half is quite blue. Not bad, but a little bluer than I was expecting. Better than the purple that was originally slated to go on the wall.

I've added more slogans to the main page. Some of them are pretty wacky and offbeat since they're English translations of Japanese slogans. I'm not sure what Wild Mook is, but RIMBoy.com is proud to be the home of it.

While I'm at it, happy March. It's cold here in Nashvegas, but if our local satanic weatherman is to be believe I'll have the top down on the ride by the end of the week.
