Hey Miles and Dave,

My name is Jeffrey Lassiter and I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I was
visiting MTSU in October and I heard your show on WMTS 88.3 FM. I
listened for about 20 min. and it was pretty entertaining. From what I
remember you were talking with some people about Hitler. I thought the
show was pretty funny.
My twin brother and I will be attending MTSU in the Fall and we
plan to
major in the Recording Industry. I would like to know how you get a
radio show at WMTS. I'd be interested in doing something when I get
there. If you could give me any info., I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanks.

Subject: quotes for the show

Hey guys, I found some quotes for the show. Since we talked about the
legalization of Prostitution last week and the subject of religion came
up, I thought a good topic might be religion and America. I'll send some
more quotes from our founding fathers to back up what i think your
opinion are, that we should keep religion out of politics.

                             Ask Thomas Jefferson!

Being one of the Founding Fathers of the United States and among the
first Americans to have to defend the newly won liberties of Americans
from encroachment makes Thomas Jefferson one of the most qualified
people to ask about politics and many other issues.

   li Lust.

We rarely repent of having eaten too little.

   li Freedom of speech.

...error of opinion may be tolerated where reason is left free to
combat it. -- First Inaugural Address

   li God and country.

Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just. --
Notes On The State Of Virginia

Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just. --
Notes On The State Of Virginia

   li Organized religion.

In every country and every age, the priest has been hostile to
liberty. He is always in alliance with the despot ... they have
perverted the purest religion ever preached to man into mystery and
jargon, unintelligible to all mankind, and therefore the safer
engine for their purpose. -- to Horatio Spafford, March 17, 1814

   Back up?

   li Uniform religion.

Is uniformity attainable? Millions of innocent men, women and
children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt,
tortured, fined, imprisoned; yet we have not advanced an inch

children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt,
tortured, fined, imprisoned; yet we have not advanced an inch
towards uniformity. What has been the effect of coercion? To make
one half the world fools, and the other half hypocrites. To support
roguery and error all over the earth. -- Notes on Virginia

   Back up?

   li Faith.

Shake off all the fears of servile prejudices, under which weak
minds are servilely crouched. Fix reason firmly in her seat, and
call on her tribunal for every fact, every opinion. Question with
boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he
must more approve of the homage of reason than that of blindfolded
fear. -- Letter to Peter Carr, Aug. 10, 1787

   Back up?

   li Christian history.

But a short time elapsed after the death of the great reformer of
the Jewish religion, before his principles were departed from by
those who professed to be his special servants, and perverted into
an engine for enslaving mankind, and aggrandizing their oppressors
in Church and State. To S. Kercheval, 1810

   Back up?

   li Freedom and established religion.

History I believe furnishes no example of a priest-ridden people
maintaining a free civil government. This marks the lowest grade of
ignorance, of which their political as well as religious leaders
will always avail themselves for their own purpose. -- To Baron von
     Humboldt, 1813
